Locked Down On the Outside is a non-profit organization based in Knoxville, Tennessee, that tries to reach young people before they become incarcerated. The program is designed to engage our youth in a weekend of activities which include discipline, teamwork, and an introduction to Christ. We then follow up with six months of mentoring activities with the young people in our program. We have been actively involved in the community since 2002.

Our mission is to reach youth before they become incarcerated by giving them an example of what prison life is like and also to instill in them how to make the right choices so that they will be successful in school, society, and work. To continuously mentor the youth in life skills, as well as, academic skills.
Our Vision is to create a weekend free from violence and drugs. We want to show youth what it would be like to be incarcerated in prison and to instill in them the desire to become confident citizens who take pride in their work and accept responsibility for their learning and behavior.
Youth First - We believe that youth are the focus of all decisions.
Honesty, Trust, and Respect - We are committed to honest and ethical behavior and we are also committed to interaction based on trust and respect.
Shared Leadership - We are committed to shared leadership which sets the standards for educational excellence and teamwork.
Our Board is made up of a diverse group of people with a strong interest in our young people and their future.
